CAROL JEAN HOFMEISTER, age 49 of Waseca died Sunday, March 2, 2008 in Waseca.

Born in Austin, Minnesota on February 4, 1959, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Bernadine (Raforth) Bergmeier. She graduated from Mapleton High School and Mankato Vo-Tech.  Carol married Randy Hofmeister on April 3, 1982 in Mapleton.  She had worked at various places in the area as a secretary and was currently employed with DCI in Mankato.  Carol enjoyed cats, scrapbooking, rubber stamping, NASCAR races, and watching softball and baseball games.  She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca.

She is survived by her husband, Randy; one son, Jeff Hofmeister; and one granddaughter, Jordan Hofmeister all of Waseca.  She is also survived by two sisters, Betty (Carlos) Olson of Green Valley, AZ and Diane (Frank) Erb of Delavan; one brother, Ronald (Jean) Bergmeier of Mahomet, IL; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother-Chuck Bergmeier.  

Visitation will be held at Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca on Thursday, March 6, 2008 from 4-8 PM and continue on Friday, one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 7, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca with Rev. Dan Doering officiating.
