AGATHA L. HERMEL, age 91 of Waterville, died on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at the Waterville Good Samaritan Center.

Born on May 29, 1916 in Iosco Township, Waseca County, Minnesota, she was the daughter of William and Laura (Coon) Meyers.  Agatha married Leonard Hermel on November 27, 1930 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville.  Together they lived and farmed in Kilkenny and Cordova Townships in Le Sueur County.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville.

She is survived by one daughter, Diane Linquist of Rochester; two sons, Lyle (Susan) Hermel and Douglas Hermel both of Waterville.  She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1987, son-in-law Donald Linquist, infant grandson William Hermel, and great grandson Elliot Linquist.

Visitation will be held at the Prosch-Dennis Funeral Home in Waterville on Sunday, January 20, 2008 from 3-6 PM and continue on Monday, one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 21, 2008 at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville with Rev. David Mumme officiating.  Burial will follow at Sakatah Cemetery in Waterville.
