MYRTLE G. GREGOR, age 87 of Janesville died on Monday, January 10, 2011 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.

Born on December 31, 1923 in Rice County, Minnesota she was the daughter of Vincent and Christina (Schlinger) Schwartz.  Myrtle attended school in Waterville.  She married Ernest Gregor on February 4, 1948 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville.  Together they lived and farmed in Iosco Township, Waseca County, Minnesota.  Myrtle also worked at Brown Printing Co. in Waseca for 12 years.  She enjoyed gardening, embroidering, bird watching, and spending time with her family.  She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Rosary Society in Waterville.

She is survived by five daughters, Marilyn (Neil) Deden of Northfield, Donna Atherton of Kasson, Bev (Reggie) Muellerleile of Elysian, Mary Gregor of Waseca, and Karen (Denny) Hoy of Janesville; three sons, Dennis Gregor of Morristown, Jim (Vicki) Gregor of Waterville, and Jeff Gregor of Janesville; 12 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by one brother, Bob (Inez) Schwartz of Waterville; two sisters-in-law, Charlotte Schwartz of Faribault and Mayonne Schwartz of Waterville; two brothers-in-law, Roland (Evelyn) Gregor of Waseca and Donald (Delores) Gregor of Morristown; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son-in-law, Doug Atherton; one granddaughter, Kelly Muellerleile; one sister-Matilda (Henry) O’Malley; and five brothers, Lawrence (Lorraine) Schwartz, Vincent Schwartz, George Schwartz, Leo (Shirley) Schwartz, and Donald (Catherine) Schwartz.

Visitation will be held at the Prosch-Dennis Funeral Home in Waterville on Friday, January 14, 2011 from 4-8 PM and continue on Saturday, one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waterville.
