PAULINE AGNES (JACOBSON) FITZSIMMONS, age 87 of Waseca died Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna.
Pauline was born in Delhi, Redwood County, Minnesota on March 20, 1920. She graduated from Delhi School and received her nursing degree from the Swedish Hospital School of Nursing in Minneapolis in 1942. She married Francis FitzSimmons on October 28, 1952 in Redwood Falls. Pauline retired from the Owatonna Nursing Home in 1982. She was a former member of the Waseca Eagle's Auxiliary and a member of the Swedish Hospital Alumni and American Legion Auxiliary Post 24 in Tombstone, AZ. Pauline enjoyed traveling and camping. She will be missed by everyone who enjoyed her wonderful cooking and baking.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Francis of Waseca; two daughters, Anita (Merrill) Ronning of Eden Prairie and Mary (Paul) Perron of St. Louis Park; one son, Michael (Carmel) of South Carolina; five grandchildren, Beth (Ken) Reilly, Julie (Wayne) Bacon, Katie Perron, Kristen Perron, and Ryan FitzSimmons; and one great granddaughter, Elsa Reilly. She is also survived by two sisters, Florence Bandow and Ruth Johnson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca with Rev. Dan Doering officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Homestead Hospice House. |
