FRANCES H. FETTE, age 96 of Waseca died on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at the Waterville Good Samaritan Center.
Frances Henrietta Bertha Nuehring was born on September 2, 1913 to John and Alice (Kruse) Nuehring of Luana, Iowa. She was baptized on October 5, 1913 and confirmed on April 10, 1927 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Luana. Frances married Leonard Fette on November 18, 1931 at the parsonage of St. John’s Lutheran in Luana. The couple moved to Minnesota in December of 1931. The union was blessed with three children. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and Peace Circle Bible Study Group. She quilted with groups from Grace Lutheran and also St. John Lutheran Church. She also enjoyed crocheting, traveling, sewing carpet rags, and playing bingo.
She is survived by two sons, Leo (Shirley) Fette of Waseca and Loren (Sandy) Fette of Pemberton; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 2 step great grandchildren, Jeffrey (Mary) Fette of Waseca; Cathy (Joe) Bruggenthies and Ryan (Val) Kimball, Colin (Krista) Kimball of Kasson; Bill Fette of Waseca; Scott (Melanie) Fette of Eagan and Christine (Dan) Mendez of Waseca; Brian (Julie) Fette, Jacob and Jessica of Prior Lake; Jason (Karynn) Fette, Sarah and Kirby and Steph and Chris St. John of North Mankato; Lori (Adam) Proehl, Zach and Kiersten of Prior Lake; Chad (Kim) Fette and Madison of Albertville; Diana (Mike) Reeves, John and Steve (Genel) Cain and Michelle Cain of Grants Pass, OR; Donna (Bill) Ito, Christian and Joe Terranova of Livermore, CA; Dorene Dodd and Brenda of Livermore CA; and 7 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Marlyn Nuehring of Monona, IA; one sister, Lorene Swenson of Cedar Rapids, IA; three sisters-in-law, Vivian Nuehring of Farmersburg, IA, Verda Mae Nuehring of West Union, IA and Margaret Spoerl of Lehigh Acres, FL; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter-Leona Kilmer and her husband Albert, brothers, Orville, John, Daymond and Frederick and Robert, Raymond and Marvin in infancy, and sisters, Leila Fett and LaVerda Welzel.
Visitation will be held at Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca on Sunday, July 11, 2010 from 2-6 PM and continue on Monday, one hour before services at the church.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 12, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca with Minister Barbara Peterson officiating. Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca. |
