Ralph E. Fell

RALPH EDWIN FELL, age 98 of Waseca, died Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at Lake Shore Inn Nursing Home.

 

Born in Iosco Township, Waseca County, Minnesota on May 16, 1909, he was the son of Louis and Ida (Warneka) Fell. He attended rural Waseca County school district #64.  He married Madeline Ewest on February 24, 1932 at Trinity Lutheran Church-Wilton.  He worked on the home farm until moving into Waseca in 1945 and helped start Fell-Lowther Machine Shop.  He later bought out Lowther and continued to operate Fell Machine Shop until retiring after 35 years.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing and camping. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca. 

 

He is survived by one daughter, Joyce (Ernest) Piper of San Diego, daughter-in-law, DarLene Fell of Waseca; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son-Dale, granddaughter-Julie, two brothers, John and Fred and two sisters, Linda Frank and Lydia Buker.  

 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 2:00 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca with Rev. Terry Quick officiating.  Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, one hour before services at the church.
