Charles E. Dusbabek

CHARLES ELMER DUSBABEK, age 68 of Germantown, Wisconsin, formerly of Waterville, died at his home on Thursday, December 9, 2010.
Born in Waseca, Minnesota on October 8, 1942, Charles was the son of Elmer Charles and Lilla Elizabeth (Bailey) Dusbabek. He attended school in Waterville before enlisting in the United States Marine Corps at the age of 17. He lived in Dallas, TX and Seattle, WA for a short time and held various jobs including working for Amtrak and managing a jewelry department for Albertsons. He then re-enlisted with the military where he performed administrative duties for the United States Army in Milwaukee, WI. He retired from this position in 1994. Charles never married, but felt a strong connection to his family through the thousands of hours he spent researching family genealogy. He also enjoyed photography, fishing, metal detecting, and rock collecting. A reclusive man, Charles was an avid supporter of PETA. He loved being with his dog Brandy and more recently his cat Buddy.
Charles is survived by two brothers, Donald (Peggy) Dusbabek of Redwing, and Elroy Dusbabek of Spokane, WA; two sisters, Leona Dusbabek of Waterville, and Theresa (Stephen) Schlosser of Spokane, WA; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, John R. and Glenn H. Dusbabek.
Visitation will be held at the Prosch-Dennis Funeral Home in Waterville on Friday, December 17, 2010 from 4-6PM, and will continue on Saturday for one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the Prosch-Dennis Funeral Home in Waterville, with Rev. Michael Ince officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waterville.
