Lois L. Draheim

LOIS LOUISE DRAHEIM, age 77 of Waseca died on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Waseca.

 

Born on October 29, 1933 in Pemberton, Minnesota she was the daughter of Roger and Verna (Anton) Kormann.   Lois attended Trinity Lutheran parochial school before graduating from Waseca Central High School in 1951.  Following her schooling, Lois worked at Bell Telephone in Waseca until getting married.  She married Leonard “Hans” Draheim on April 22, 1960 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca.  Lois also worked as a cook at Yellow Mushroom and later at Papa Chips in Waseca.  She enjoyed card games, bingo, watching game shows and the Minnesota Twins.  Lois was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca.

 

She is survived by one son, Dayton (Barb) Draheim of Waseca; one daughter, Connie (David) Arnold of Northfield; and five grandchildren, Foster, Hillary and Dylan Berg and Nicole and Nathan Draheim.  She is also survived by two brothers, Marvin (Ilene) Kormann of Waseca and Willard (Irene) Kormann of New Ulm; two sisters, Beverly (Marvin) Maass of Waseca and Sharon (Cletus) Glynn of Blooming Prairie; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; husband; one sister, Donna Paulson; and one brother-in-law, Edgar Paulson.

 

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at 2:00 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca with Rev. Giles Zimmer officiating.  Burial will be at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, one hour before services at the church.
