MABEL V. CROMER, age 103 of Waseca died Thursday, December 13, 2007 at the Lake Shore Inn Nursing Home in Waseca.

Born in Wilton Township, Waseca County, Minnesota on August 19, 1904, she was the daughter of Edward and Bertha (Foels) Gehring. She attended school in rural Waseca County.  Following her schooling, Mabel worked as a domestic.  She married Lawrence J. Cromer on October 1, 1930 at Trinity Lutheran Church-Wilton.   Together they lived and farmed in Otisco Township.  Mabel enjoyed gardening, crocheting, tatting, and playing cards.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church-Wilton and the Ladies Aid, the Waseca Area Senior Citizens, Farmers Union, and was also a life member of the Waseca VFW Auxiliary.

She is survived by one daughter, Luella Root of Waseca; one son, Lyle and Virginia Cromer of Waseca; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandson, five sisters, and two brothers.  

Visitation will be held at Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca on Sunday, December 16, 2007 from 4-8 PM and continue on Monday, one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 17, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church-Wilton with Rev. Glenn L. Korb officiating.  Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
