Adrian J. "Stubb" Christensen

ADRIAN J. “STUBB” CHRISTENSEN, age 77 of Waterville, passed away in his sleep unexpectedly yet peacefully on December 17, 2007 while vacationing in Mission, Texas.

Born in Forest City, IA on July 18, 1930, Adrian was the son of Andrew and Yorina (Monsen) Christensen.  He attended a country school in rural Forest City, IA before entering the United States Army.  On August 7, 1955, Adrian was united in marriage to Wanda Vosburgh in Rockwell, IA.  They later moved to Oregon Avenue in New Hope, MN where they raised their family.  He worked at HTC as an auto body instructor for 21 years before retiring and moving to the ‘Lake’ in Waterville, MN in 1995.  Since retiring, the couple has remained active; taking several vacations, entertaining family and friends, participating in community activities, attending the North Waseca Lutheran Church, and heading to Texas for the winter.  He was a dedicated husband and father who supported his children and assured them that there was nothing they could not accomplish without a little hard work, faith, and a positive attitude.  From his gentle heart, his grandchildren witnessed the importance of being honest, fair and doing the ‘right’ thing.  His spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.  A special thanks to Chip who helped our Dad with so many things throughout the years.

Adrian is survived by his wife of 52 years, Wanda; three children, Debbie (Randy) Timm of St. Michael, Tammy (Dave) House of  Champlin, and Cindy (Ted) Gianos of Crystal; five grandchildren, Beth, Jake, Bree, Sam and Lilly; puppy Cocoa; and many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, and countless friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and eight siblings.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 28, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the North Waseca Lutheran Church.  Visitation will precede the service for one hour at the church.  Burial will follow at Sakatah Cemetery in Waterville.
