ROBERT MARTIN BUKER, age 85 of Waseca died on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at Cedarview Nursing Home in Owatonna.

Born on June 9, 1926 in Waseca, Minnesota he was the son of Walter and Elsie (Bathel) Buker.  Robert was baptized on July 28, 1926 and confirmed on June 9, 1940 at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca.  He attended school in rural Waseca County.  Robert married Myra Prechel on December 30, 1949 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wilton Township.  Robert was the 4^th generation to farm on the home place.  He farmed his entire life with horses, with the tractor being used only for emergencies.  He also had milk cows, a few pigs and chickens.  He enjoyed playing cards and hunting and in recent years, enjoyed bird and squirrel watching.  He also enjoyed fishing, anything to do with horses, and had given horse drawn hayrides for over 35 years.  Robert was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Minnesota Horse Breeders Association and the National Rifle Association for many years.

He is survived by two daughters, Rita (Norman) Volkmann of Janesville and Brenda (David) Lee of Waseca; three foster sons, Terry (Sally) Anderson of Waseca, Tim Anderson of Sioux Falls, and Tom Anderson of Duluth; five grandchildren, Tracy Roeker, Robyn Roeker, Grace Roeker, Adam Lee, and Cora Lee and 4 step grandchildren, Jacob Volkmann, Sarah Bensen, James Volkmann, and Amber Volkmann; and 2 step great grandchildren, Bethany Bensen and Baby Bensen.  He is also survived by one brother, Marvin Buker of Alexandria, two sister-in-laws, Vera Swanson of Plymouth and Janyce Kormann of Michigan City, IN; and one brother-in-law, Leo (Betty) Prechel of Waseca.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one sister, Edna Mueller; sister-in-law, Lorretta Buker; brothers-in-law, Herb Mueller and Oren Kormann; nephew, Alan Mueller; and niece, Marcia Dahlman.

Visitation will be held at Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 from 4-8 PM.

Graveside services will be held at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 12:15 PM.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2:00 PM at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca with Rev. Steve Bohling officiating.
