MICHAEL L. BOYD, age 54 of Waterville, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2008 in Kilkenny.

Born in Davenport, IA, on November 22, 1953, Michael was the son of Raymond and Elsie (Dye) Boyd.  Michael attended school in Le Center, and graduated with the class of 1971.  He drove truck most of his life, and enjoyed working for himself.  On June 3, 1995, Michael was united in marriage to Marge Reuvers in Faribault, MN.  Together they lived in Waterville.  Mike enjoyed mowing and plowing snow, cooking, fishing, boating, playing poker, cribbage, and bingo, and people-watching.  He was a member of the Waterville Lion’s Club, and the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville.

He is survived by his wife, Marge of Waterville; one daughter, Carla (Boyd) and her husband John Reysack of Waterville; three sons, Jeff Reuvers and his wife Nancy of Faribault, Richard Reuvers of North St. Paul, and Michael Boyd of Stillwater; one step-son Chris Hauer of Montgomery, MN; and six grandchildren.  Also surviving Michael are five siblings, Kirk Boyd of Faribault, Steve Boyd of Albert Lea, Betty Brath of Chaska, Pam Sealy of Tennessee, and Jennette Schoemacker of Iowa.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ken Boyd; two sisters, Phylis Klingberg and Irene Boyd; and one brother in infancy, Jimmie Boyd.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2008 from 4-8 PM at the Prosch-Dennis Funeral Home in Waterville, and will continue for one hour before services at the church on Friday.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 18, 2008 at 10:30 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church Waterville with Rev. Michael Ince officiating.  A potluck reception will follow services at Bullhead’s Bar & Grill in Waterville.
