TIMOTHY G. BERG, age 46 of Chisholm died on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth.
Born on July 23, 1963, in Chisholm, Minnesota, he was the son of Gordon and Joanne (Lundeen) Berg. Tim was a life-long resident of Chisholm. After graduating from Chisholm High School, he pursued a carpentry career at Eveleth Vo-Tech which resulted in the establishment of Tim Berg Carpentry. Twenty-six years were invested not only in the business of construction but in the building of far reaching friendships. It was during this time Tim oversaw the building of Chisholm Baptist Church where you’d see him actively involved in choir, club programs, Trustee Board, sound technician or softball. Although Tim thoroughly loved the many hours he spent on the job and at church, he did always look forward to stealing time away from his busy schedule to spend with his loved niece and nephews and to enjoy special times with friends and family.
He is survived by his parents, Gordon and Joanne Berg of Chisholm; two sisters, Pamela and Daniel Kimball of Waseca and Sandra and Patrick O’Halloran of Dakota City, NE; and one niece and six nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, “Cap” and Runa Berg and Victor and Edith Lundeen.
Visitation will be held at Chisholm Baptist Church on Thursday, October 1, 2009 from 5-8 PM and continue on Friday, one hour before services at the church.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 2, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Chisholm Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Chisholm Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorials be given to the Chisholm Baptist Church building fund. |
