KATHLEEN A. (HANKS) BECKER, age 55 of Northfield, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2010.

Born in Faribault on July 20, 1955, Kathy was the daughter of Bernard and Phyllis (Pemrick) Hanks.  She attended school in Waterville, and later graduated from Faribault high school in 1973.  She worked as a human services technician for the State of Minnesota for over twenty years.  Kathy was a gifted artist that enjoyed drawing and painting, rock collecting, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and has always had a special affinity for butterflies.  She recently became a member of St. Canice Catholic Church in Kilkenny.

Kathy is survived by her mother, Phyllis Hanks of Kilkenny; two sons, Jody “Joe” Morrell and his wife Roseann of New Hope, and Jeffrey Morrell and his wife Barbra of Eagan; three grandchildren, Ashli, James, and Alexandra Morrell; three siblings, Donald Hanks and his wife Sharon of Kilkenny, James Hanks and his wife Helen of Waterville, and Nancy Frederick and her husband Lee of Lake Crystal.  She was preceded in death by her father, Bernard Hanks; and one brother, Tom Hanks.

Visitation will be held from 2-6 PM on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at Prosch-Dennis Funeral Home in Waterville, and will continue for one hour before services at the church on Monday.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 6, 2010 at St. Canice Catholic Church in Kilkenny, with Rev. Ronald Dahlheimer officiating.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Kilkenny.
