RUBY MARGARET BARTZ, age 87, died on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at her home in Apple Valley, Minnesota.

Born in Waseca on November 30, 1923, Ruby was the daughter of George and Ruby (Erwin) Fell.  She graduated from Waseca High School in 1941.  Ruby was married to Donald L. Bartz on August 15, 1944 in Waseca.  Over the years they lived in Huron, SD, Sioux Falls, SD, and Apple Valley, MN.  In 1965 she began working at Roberts Drug in Rosemount; a career she continued until her retirement in 1983.  Ruby had been a member of the Methodist church all her life.  She enjoyed bowling, bingo, gardening, playing cards, caring for animals, and collecting antiques.

Ruby is survived by one son, Randy (Cherie) Bartz of Shakopee; one grandson, Matthew Bartz of Shakopee; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Racek of Waseca; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband; and one sister, Ruth Mackey.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Faith United Methodist Church in Waseca, with Rev. Victor Waters officiating.  Visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the church.  Interment will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.  Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals is handling the arrangements.
