KATHLEEN J. “KATHY” AANAS, age 60 of Waterville, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2010 at Immanuel St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato.

Born in Morristown on July 23, 1950, Kathy was the daughter of Giles and Betty Ann (Scholer) Abbe.  She attended and graduated from Waterville High School before attending cosmetology school in Faribault.  She later was employed at Brown Printing in Waseca; a job that continued for over 35 years.  She enjoyed walking with her dogs, bowling, and going out to eat with her friends.

Kathy is survived by her father, Giles of Waterville; her daughter, Raquel Aanas of Elmore, MN; Raquel’s partner, Marnie Walser and her daughter Payton of Fairmont; one sister, Josephine Stencel of Waterville; two brothers, Paul Abbe of Waterville and Giles J. (Stacy) Abbe of Waterville; two nieces, Vanessa Abbe of St. Louis Park and Ashley Abbe of Bemidji; and one nephew, Cory (Meghan) Stencel of Waterville.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Ann; and one brother-in-law, Mark Stencel.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Calvary Cemetery in Waterville.  Prosch-Dennis Funeral Home in Waterville is handling the arrangements.
